Performing loop?
To determine if tuning parameters are performing, we can use many criteria and many performance indices.
Also, many tools are used to measure and evaluate performance :
-Statistical analysis
If
a loop is properly tuned and performing, the distribution will look
like a bell curve (normal law); also standard deviation should be small.
-Autocorrelation
Autocorrélation
corresponds to the closed loop impulse response. If performing, then
the curve will enter quickly inside he confidence limits (settling
time).
-Power spectral densit
The
frequency content of a performing loop will be uniform and amplitudes
will be small. This is like white noise (all frequencies have the same
energy); the PSD will look like grass.
