Is proportional gain Kp appropriate?
Most level loops need Kp to be high enough to ensure no spill nor dry out will occur. Rarely the gain will be below 2.
Most flow loops are dead time dominant; hence gain Kp must be low enough to reduce overshoot and cycling.
